Lerner's Retail Leasing Team Adds A Home Run Hitter: Mark Kufka Joins As Vice President/Retail Leasing

North Bethesda, Maryland, July 20, 2007 – Lerner Enterprises, Washington D.C.’s largest private real estate developer,  is pleased to announce that Mark A. Kufka has joined Lerner Corporation as Vice President of Retail Leasing.

Prior to joining Lerner, Mr. Kufka was a founding Principal of Mastin Kufka and Company, LLC, a national consulting firm specializing in marketing and leasing.  Most recently he spearheaded the leasing of the $425 million City Center at Oyster Point mixed-use town center in Newport News, Virginia.  Mr. Kufka brings twenty years experience from past positions with The Pyramid Companies, The Rouse Company and Madison Marquette. 

Mr. Kufka will lead Lerner’s retail leasing division charged with leasing its retail portfolio that includes two of Washington D.C.’s most prominent regional and super regional centers, Dulles Town Center in Dulles, Virginia and White Flint in North Bethesda, Maryland.  In addition he is responsible for retail leasing at Annapolis Harbour Center, Fallsgrove Village Center and Towne Plaza in Maryland; The Spectrum at Reston Town Center and North Point Village Center in Virginia; as well as retail leasing opportunities in many of its office buildings including Washington Square, 20 M Street and 1800 M Street in Washington, DC.   Mr. Kufka will oversee Lerner’s Specialty Leasing program and leasing of all new retail developments including The Grove at Gainesville in Gainesville, Virginia and Manassas Landing in Manassas, Virginia.
